Data Warehouse Overview

The Data Warehouse is a comprehensive storehouse of all testing results for all samples. It includes all related data, and serves as a records library to call up data for examination or trending.

Because it is designed to contain a large number of records, clicking on the Data Warehouse menu item immediately brings up the LabLynx LIMS filter, so users can specify search criteria for the record(s) they wish to retrieve.

Data Warehouse screen calls up the filter automatically

You can filter for specific data by date range, specimen number, test name, etc. and/or sort by any field using the filter. Just click the Filter Filter Button.png button, then select the criteria you want to use to narrow down the records returned:

To Export to Excel

The returned records list or indeed any list screen in the LIMS is easily exported as an Excel spreadsheet.

Click on the Export Export to Excel Button.png button (you can filter for the records you want to export). A series of one or more Export popup dialogs displays.

Make sure there are not too many records being exported and click Yes for each (unless you want to export as a generic .txt file).

*Note: It is important that you have made your LabLynx LIMS URL address a Trusted Site with Active X enabled and any popup blockers disabled, and that you have allowed external program scripts to run in your Excel application. If you have questions, consult your LIMS Administrator.

LabLynx opens your local MS Excel program and creates a file containing your exported records.
