Sample Backlog
Sample Backlog Overview
The Sample Backlog page is available to authorized users based on login by navigating to the Sample Backlog menu item. Its function is to provide a report listing all outstanding work in the lab. The backlog report automatically filters to those items available to the logged-in user. A supervisor will see all items for that location.

Scroll right to view additional information, including Status and Lab Due Date (you can set the LIMS to sort by these fields first if desired)
You can filter for specific data by date range, specimen number, test name, etc. and/or sort by any field using the filter. Just click the Filter button, then select the criteria you want to use to narrow down the records returned:
To Export to Excel
The Sample Backlog Report or indeed any list screen in the LIMS is easily exported as an Excel spreadsheet.
Click on the Export button (you can filter for the records you want to export). A series of one or more Export popup dialogs displays.
Make sure there are not too many records being exported and click Yes for each (unless you want to export as a generic .txt file).
*Note: It is important that you have made your LabLynx LIMS URL address a Trusted Site with Active X enabled and any popup blockers disabled, and that you have allowed external program scripts to run in your Excel application. If you have questions, consult your LIMS Administrator. |
LabLynx opens your local MS Excel program and creates a file containing your exported records.
