HealthCloudPOL lets you define any order ahead of time, and by default the specimens are not shown as received and available for testing until marked as such by an authorized user. Further, if they have been received and then you find for some reason they aren't ready to test, there is an "On Hold" function that removes any given specimen from the available list until that box is unchecked. In all cases, the order's status is displayed. Where more than one specimen exists on the order, the least-processed specimen status displays as the order status. "On Hold" status is displayed on the specimen detail page, with its overall status (i.e. "Assigned") displayed on the order.
