Licensing & Support

Our LabLynx ELabLiMS licensing is based on an the average number of concurrent users for the year, either with a subscription license or a perpetual license. There are no charges based on number of reports or submissions. LabLynx provides professional support services directly, including training on functions and features, installation assistance, and custom development.

The ELabLIMS solutions are a combination of up-front costs and ongoing subscription costs. Recurring costs, in addition to the licensing, can include (but are not limited to) the ELN, upgraded hosting, Portal, LabDrive, and upgraded server storage. One-time costs can include various LIMS modules or functional elements as well as professional services for implementation and ongoing service needs.

Subscription

LabLynx offers cloud-hosted subscription LIMS licensing that bundles software access, hosting, maintenance, and core support into a predictable, recurring pricing model. This option eliminates upfront infrastructure costs and includes automatic platform updates, secure AWS-based hosting, backups, and optional service tiers. Subscriptions are typically billed annually, but are also available on a monthly basis, forfeiting the discount applied to annual subscriptions.

Perpetual

Customers may choose a traditional perpetual license to host LabLynx LIMS on their own infrastructure (on-premises or private cloud), with a one-time software license fee. Perpetual licenses can be purchased for cost based on the number of concurrent users that is paid up front. Then there is also an ongoing annual maintenance, support and warranty (MSW) fee that is a percentage of the license cost. In almost all cases, there is a one-time setup cost plus an ongoing subscription or MSW fee.

Professional Services

LabLynx provides comprehensive professional services to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and long-term use of the LIMS platform. Services can begin with structured project planning and requirements gathering, followed by configuration of workflows, test definitions, security roles, forms, notifications, and initial data migration. This approach ensures the system is aligned to each laboratory’s operational processes without unnecessary customization.

For regulated environments, LabLynx offers validation and documentation support, including assistance with validation planning, IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, and execution guidance. These services are designed to help laboratories demonstrate compliance and maintain audit readiness in accordance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, depending on system configuration and customer procedures.

LabLynx also provides integration services to connect the LIMS with laboratory instruments, middleware, ELN, SDMS, ERP systems, client portals, and other third-party applications. Integration services may include interface configuration, testing, deployment, and support for custom data exchange requirements using APIs or LabVia middleware.

To support successful adoption, LabLynx delivers role-based training for administrators and end users through remote or on-site sessions. Training programs are tailored to laboratory roles and workflows and may include train-the-trainer models and knowledge transfer to support long-term self-sufficiency.

Ongoing support services are available through tiered support plans that provide access to technical assistance, software updates, and issue resolution with defined service levels.
