Managing Drop-down Picklists
Picklists (incl. Sample Types)
Much of the LabLynx ELab LIMS’s extensive flexibility lies in its ability to be configured through the front-end user interface, and a large part of that configuration is the defining of choices in the many drop-down picklists throughout the system. Many are optional to set up. Most of the picklists necessary for basic standard functional setup have default choices already listed. But you may well want to change some of those. Moreover, you will most probably want to add your own Sample Types for use in the tests that you create. The Sample Type field is a unique picklist, in that it filters the tests appropriate for any samples entered, making test assignment faster.
As you are going through setup of the LIMS - or at any time afterwards - you can access any picklists you need, quickly and easily, to add, change or delete options.
